For the last struggle with CUNYFirst
For the last ‘Department Consent Required’ curse

For the last enrollment worries and bellyaches
For the feeling of warmness as that green check materializes
Then you know that the good work is done

As enrollment for the upcoming spring semester commences, I cannot help but to think back on my first time enrolling for classes at Brooklyn College. I appeared before my advisor with a folder filled to the brim with my degreeworks page printed out, a list of classes I needed to take, and an assured face that I would get it all done in due time much to the amusement of my beloved advisor, Peter Pampalone (who is the absolute best! I simply adore him!). I thought the world was in the palm of my hand and I was ready to take on college for all that it had. Now I am a senior at Brooklyn College and I’ve just enrolled in my last semester and I feel quite the same. Prepped and ready for nursing school; with a folder filled with papers and a feeling of self assurance with a side of newfound knowledge.
