Hello Everyone!

Happy November! I can’t believe that this semester is already more than halfway over with. It feels like just last week that Fall classes began. I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Halloween.

On behalf of the interns in the English department, as well as Prof. Natov., I would like to thank everyone who showed up to last week’s Open Mic event. It was great hearing all the lovely pieces from everyone who decided to share. Even if you did not share, just showing up to support was enough and we really appreciate it. If you were not able to attend, or this is your first-time hearing about it, don’t worry. The interns hold an Open Mic event every Fall and Spring semester so be on the lookout in Spring 2022 for our next one!

If you find yourself still hyper off all that Halloween candy, use that energy and come visit our bi-weekly Writers Circles, we would love to have you join! With all the stress from classes and exams, the Writer’s Circle is an amazing place to visit and decompress. If you want to connect with the interns as well as fellow likeminded students who view writing as a stress relief, the Writer’s Circle is where you want to be! If you’re comfortable sharing your work with others, then you are free to, but there is no pressure if you do not. You can come and just respond to other’s work if you choose to do so. There will be two writing prompts for you to choose from, with the third option of a free write about anything you choose to write about.

Hope you all have a great week!
