Heaven on Earth is not a destination; it’s a state of being. Or so I hear.
It’s a place many wish to create on Earth, yet not many achieve. Is it related to money? Probably not. They say the rich – including billionaires – suffer from depression. Or so I hear. They have all the money and power in the world yet they struggle to liberate themselves from the shackles of material worries – which we all have. The fancy cars, the luxury of private jets, and everything in-between does not help their case.
Is it a destination? Maybe. Places like the Plitvice Lakes, Croatia; Tunnel of Love, Ukraine; Uyuni Salt Flats, Bolivia are just a few mesmerizing places to mention. They say when one travels to such places they can clear their head – live in the moment. They are filled with a new sense of purpose and passion. It is in that fluttering instant that we experience a flood of appreciation – witnessing the sublime. Or so I hear.
You see, there are times where we all want to create our inner paradise. The salvation that will vanquish our fears, the mindset that will fortify our hearts, and a feeling of hope holding it all together. But we still struggle. We still try grasping onto a new batch of air that will alleviate the hyperventilation of concerns bottled inside our heads. We still entertain the idea that when we accomplish this or that, it’ll be better. It’ll be different. And maybe, just maybe, that’s true. There is no right or wrong. There is no one answer. Or so I hear.
However, when all is said and done, our personal-heaven is for us to define. Is it when we cross the boundaries of time – when we are present? Maybe that is heaven. Or is it when we let our ambitions conquer the horizon of our imagination – unleashing our inner hero upon the world. Maybe, that is heaven too.
If we can define what heaven is for ourselves, then we have the power to shape, mold, and bend it into whatever we desire it to be. It’s when we realize that we are the masters of our fate: the captains of our souls (William Ernest), can we become the magic in our life capable of transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Heaven on Earth is not a destination; it’s a state of being. Or so I hear.
