As November passes I urge all of you to be hopeful to all that is still left of this challenging year and all that is left of life. December is an interesting paradox in its seemingly cold bitter wind and its warm earthy fireplace. I challenged myself to be present and write a little jingle of what I am thankful for and I share with you all below my thoughts.

Rushmore

I’m thankful & I’m grateful
For the sun and the moon
The rays & the praise
But wait- don’t forget the holidays

I’m thankful & I’m grateful
For my hands and my toes
They wiggle and the jiggle
And they keep up my pose

I’m thankful & I’m grateful
I can cry out into the abyss
My ears working miles
My mouth moving pace

For all the things I am grateful for my gratitude is great
And though I may forget sometimes
God has never led me astray.
