I have been reading a lot for my thesis. Body focused work: philosophy, embodiment, sensation, pain, subjectivity. Topics of bodily doubt and illness. I am uninspired to write and I feel that I have nothing to say about reading.

I make lists when I read.

Words that standout, that for whatever reason strike me. I pick out words and write another story while reading someone else’s. Each word in my mind links to the next one on the list and they weave together into something only I can untangle. Sometimes these lists become the base for poetry, other times they remain a list of seemingly unconnected words. I don’t have much to offer right now, but I can give you some words if you’d like?
