Greetings, everyone, and welcome to another week at The Junction Journal. We’re getting started on Tuesday this week following the observance of Yom Kippur. Since I have tilted at windmills once or twice in my life, I want to note that September 29 is believed to be the birthday of Miguel de Cervantes, the author of Don Quixote.

September 29 is also World Heart Day. I am older than most Brooklyn College students, and I give thanks each morning that my heart keeps working.

I have a couple of announcements. Coming up this Thursday, October 1, from 3:00 to 4:00, we will be holding our first Writers’ Circle of the semester. It will be held on Zoom, of course, and the Zoom ID is 993 1185 3125. We will be holding future Writers’ Circle meetings on Tuesdays as well as Thursdays.

The second announcement is a reminder to everyone that we are still planning to hold an Open Mic in November. The tentative date right now is November 12.

OK, enjoy the new posts, and stay safe, everyone.
