Hello everyone–
For this week’s blogpost, I was inspired by a couple of lines from my “Self Simulator 1.0” piece that didn’t make the cut. I tried to expand on them below in an effort to experiment with sounds and the feelings those sounds emulate. I consider this to be more of an auditory art than a visual or written one and I had fun writing it.
holding my fate in a no. 2 pencil i sing opera à la supermarché between frozen corn dogs and plum tomatoes somewhere between an orangey red and a reddish orange lies a radish fed up with ultimatums sitting frantically on the edge of a cart i push sliced thinly destined être à la carte to the duck i will have seared t-minus two evenings... holding my fate in ballpoint teeth grind at the mind holding its host at gunpoint blueish hues line the skeleton-- as an outlier outlined in sadness will leave the heart broken down to its bare bones and each one fractured a tongue folded over stuffed inside a folder curved to fit in a cup holder bit too hard that buds broke almost like i never got to bloom... holding my fate in watercolor i see beyond words into an impressionistic blur of fuzzy feelings and mixed drinks a shout to swim masking the long to sink for the shorter faucet tends to target a cramped hand and a stressful argument between rose and lavender, my favorite structures spineless like jello, yet courageous like garnet...
