Greetings, everybody!
If you’ve stopped by the office recently you may have noticed that a prominent member of our little family has been missing. I am happy to announce that the lovely Professor Natov is back today! We are very excited to have her back!

Valentine’s Day is at the end of the week, and it seems like while some people are looking forward to it, others are absolutely dreading it. I like to think of it as a day to celebrate love in whatever form you choose. Think of the family you hold near and dear, the friends you couldn’t live without, a significant other you are ever so grateful for, and the person who’s been there for you through it all: yourself. Tell your best friend you love them, give your siblings or cousins or parents a big hug, and remember to celebrate love regardless of if you have a significant other. This world could always use a little more love.

Finally, what you’ve all been waiting for…
Here are this week’s announcements:
•Today, Feb 10 is the last day for students to submit requests for change, deletion of, or declaration of a major/minor/concentration to be effective for Spring 2020
•Wednesday, Feb 12 the college is closed. If you’re looking for something fun (and free) to do that day, there is free entry to the NY Botanical Gardens and the Bronx Zoo!
•We are currently accepting submissions for The Junction! Click here to submit your poetry, prose, photography, or artwork!!
•Consider entering the CUNY labor arts contest. Read more about it here!
•Lastly, keep in mind these reminders from last week:
- The English Department holds essay competitions every Spring — make sure to check out the prompts in 2308 Boylan for your chance to flex your writing skills and to win some cash as well as an invite to the English Major’s Tea.
- For modern art and classical art fans alike, check out the new Jacques-Louis David Meets Kehinde Wiley exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum! The artist himself will be at the museum for a talk on Feb. 13th, 7-9pm so check it out!
Have a lovely week!
