I Love Someone

I have absolutely no idea how to write love poetry. It has never been in my repertoire. I feel great writing about theology, or tragedy, or nature but when it comes to something I experienced it feels as if the words start slipping through quicksand in my mind. Nevertheless, I love my girlfriend and sometimes that love is so powerful it overtakes logic, even the logic of being fundamentally incapable of doing what I intend to do. So here’s my shot at writing to her, because she deserves the world and the stars and everything in between.
