Greetings one and all, and welcome back to the paradise known as the Boylan Blog! Through rainy days and fluctuating temperatures this week has brought about some unsettling news and what feels likes dreary times. I want to use this opportunity to remind you all that the world is a beautiful place filled with lovely people. Remember to sit back, take a moment to breath and relax with a nice warm cup of tea and cocoa, and take care of yourself. Time’s arrow always marches forward. We got this.

Now let’s get to some announcements!
- First and foremost, the English Major’s open mic is almost a week away! Come down to Woody Tanger Auditorium in the library on Tuesday, October 16th at 12:30pm to listen to your fellow English majors share they’re creativity with us all! Yours truly will be sharing some poetry as will many other of the interns. A good time is Guaranteed!
- Interested in understanding the diverse student population that we have on campus? Then join the Office of International Student and Scholar Services on October 9th at 12:30pm for their first international coffee hour of the semester! There will be students from around the world present as well as games, and coffee, what more could you ask for!? The coffee hour will be held in 2154 Boylan Hall, drop on by!
- For the more philosophically minded students the philosophy department will be holding its first Social Hour event of the semester! There will be a discussion led by instructor Christian Weinbaum on the “Social Epistemology in Punk Rock, Mosh Pits, and the DIY Scene”. The Social Hour will be held October 11th from 12:30 to 2pm in 3308 Boylan Hall. The I’ll be there and if you’re lucky I might bust out a picture of myself during my punk days!
- As always Writer’s Circle will be held this Thursday, October 11th from 12:30 to 2pm in 2307 Boylan Hall! Come write in a commitment and judgement free environment led by the English department’s very own Nicole!
Wow did I use a lot of exclamation points in this post, but how could I not with so many exciting events going on this week?!
