ATTENTION!!!

There are seven – repeat SEVEN – days of class left in the semester and, I don’t know about you guys, but I. Am. Ready.

Everything is winding down and finals are upon us, but The Boylan Blog is here for you. Here’s what you need to know:

• The Junction is taking submissions! Please send your artwork, poetry, or prose to bczinesubmissions@gmail.com. The deadline is March 1^st     
• This winter, Brooklyn College, and the CUNY School of Law will be launching the first-ever Brooklyn College/CUNY School of Law Pipeline to Justice Undergraduate Winter Program. It is a free, one-week program, designed to introduce prospective advocates to the legal academy and the world of public interest lawyering.  Did I mention that it is free?! The Program will run from January 22^ndto January 26^th from 9 am to 3 pm.  Complete and submit an application by December 8^th 2017 to ryan.dooley@mail.law.cuny.edu
• For those of you who love film as much as writing, Human Rights Watch Film Festival is looking for some people to add to their Screening Committee.

  Looking for:

  -A range of perspectives and voices to reflect the many communities our films and festival seek to address.
  -We require that you have some sort of background or particular interest in film or media. You do not need to be an expert!
  -An ideal candidate is astute and able communicate clear opinions on what makes a “good” film for you.

  What it involves:

  -We ask for 1-3 film reviews per week – we will send you online links to watch. We work on a rolling basis so reviews are expected each week.
  -Our “season” is long – from now until April or May, so we ask for a commitment to stick with us until then!

  What you get out of it:

  -Our full appreciation and gratitude!
  -Free tickets to the HRW Film Festival in your city.
  The opportunity to watch films before their public release and recommend (or warn) friends when it comes time for the film’s release.
