Good day, readers! I hope you all have had a wonderful and restful weekend! A while ago, the English Majors’ Counseling Office hosted an open mic event for both new and experienced writers to share their work. If you missed our open mic event, please come to our next open mic in the spring semester! And if you would like to share your artwork, short story, and poetry, I invite you to submit your piece to the Junction at bczinesubmissions@gmail.com before the deadline – the 1st of March, 2018!

Since registration is right around the corner, it is always a good idea to begin planning out your course schedule for next semester and start adding classes to the shopping cart, so that all you have to do is enroll when registration becomes available – and if you have questions regarding course permission, academic advisement, credit evaluation, transfer credit, or basically anything, come visit us at 3416 Boylan Hall! We are always happy to accommodate you!

As a warm reminder, the Mellon Transfer Student Research Program is still accepting application for the spring semester! The program offers transfer students the opportunity to conduct a semester long, independent research with faculty mentors – and in addition to course credits, students and faculty will receive a stipend! If you’re interested, see the flyer; and if you have friends who are also interested, share the flyer! Applications are due on the 16th of November, 2017! And for more information, visit the Program’s blog page!

And to new and experienced writers, the Writer’s Circle (led by our talented and amazing Isaiah Rivera) hosts writing workshops every Tuesday and Thursday in room 2307 Boylan Hall during common hours, so feel free to drop by and release some of that creative muscles if you haven’t already! The more the merrier!
