Hey there!

The time has come, my fellow readers, for the English Open Mic! It’s being held this Thursday the 16th of March at the Woody Tanger Auditorium during common hours (12:00 – 2:00pm). I personally love this event and I invite you to come, if not to participate, at least to support your fellow classmates. And I promise you, you won’t regret it: there is so much talent in this school! Not to mention the adrenaline rush you get after you recite your poem/short story/song/essay in front of an audience. It’s worth it, especially because everyone is so supportive of each other’s art. I’ll just go on and say it: it’s my favorite event of the year and you shouldn’t miss it!

However, if you do end up missing it but still would like to share your art/poetry/short story, submit to The Junction! Send your piece at bczinesubmissions@gmail.com before the deadline, which is March 20th.
What happens if you want to submit something but have no idea what? No problem! Head on over to The Writer’s Circle for some inspiration and feedback on your creative work! They meet every Tuesday and Thursday during common hours in 2307 Boylan and it’s so much fun.
I guess the bottom line is, we want to hear from you. We want your art, your creative work, and your voice and we want to share it with the rest of Brooklyn College.

I hope I see you at the Open Mic!
All the best,
Alana
